Accessibility Statement
Paragraph is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought — we test against recognized standards as part of every release, and we welcome feedback that helps us improve.
Our commitment
Access to information and to product is a right, not a privilege. We design, build, and test this site with accessibility in mind from the first sketch through to release, and we treat the standards below as a floor — not a ceiling.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the European harmonized standard EN 301 549 v3.2.1. We measure ourselves against both as part of our standard release process, and we audit the full site at least once a year.
Some third-party or older content may not yet fully conform. Where we are aware of gaps, we list them under "Known limitations" below and we are actively remediating them.
Measures we take
To support accessibility, Paragraph:
- Treats accessibility as part of our design and development practice — semantic HTML, keyboard support, visible focus, descriptive alt text, sufficient contrast, and ARIA where it adds clarity rather than for its own sake.
- Runs automated accessibility checks (axe-core) on every release, against the home page, product pages, cart, content pages, and key flows.
- Tests with the keyboard and with screen readers on the most-trafficked pages, and re-tests whenever a major component changes.
- Trains the team on accessibility and assigns clear ownership for every finding.
- Reviews this statement, and the underlying audit, at least once a year.
Compatibility with browsers and assistive technology
This website is designed to work with current and previous major versions of the following assistive technologies:
- NVDA and JAWS on Windows (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
- VoiceOver on macOS (Safari) and iOS (Safari)
- TalkBack on Android (Chrome)
- Browser zoom up to 200%, text-spacing adjustments, and high-contrast modes
The site is not designed to work in Internet Explorer or other browsers more than two major versions out of date.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may have accessibility gaps. We are actively working to address the following, and we welcome any specific reports through the feedback channel below:
- Third-party content. Embedded video, payment-provider widgets, analytics overlays, and similar third-party content may not meet the same accessibility standards as the rest of the site. We monitor these vendors and apply pressure when content falls short.
- Older editorial content. Articles and product photography uploaded before our most recent accessibility review may have images without descriptive alt text or other older content patterns. We update them as we identify them.
Feedback
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter any barriers, or you would like to request information in a different format, please reach out. We aim to respond within five business days, and we treat every report as a chance to improve the site for everyone.
